History recounts that the Spanish Conquistadors found vast plantations of soursop (also known as custard apple) in Central America and took upon themselves to disperse it around their colonies.  That is why the soursop has different names according to the region in which can be found.

The fruit is known as GRAVIOLA in the Portuguese speaking countries, SOURSOP in the English speaking countries, COROSSOLIER in France, DURIAN BELANDA in Malaysia, KATUANODO or SEETAH in Sri Lanka, and ZUURZAK in the Netherlands.

Soursop is a fruit with a very strange shape, it has a green skin and inside it has a very smooth and juicy flesh with black seeds.

Owing to its sweetness this fruit is ideal for juices and desserts.  It has a perfect texture for creams and puddings.

Soursop is very rich in vitamins C, B5, B2, and B1.  Contains folic acid, fiber, proteins, potassium, phosphorus, calcium and iron. It is very good for the digestion and intestines and is recommended for arthritis, gout and rheumatism.

Sourop is available as:

• Natural fruit pulp (frozen)
• Powdered fruit
