The guava grows in tropical regions of America, Asia and Oceania.  When ripe it has a deep aroma that makes it very suggestive and tempting.  In many countries of Latin America the Guava is used to produce ‘guava paste’ which is the equivalent of ‘quince paste’.

The red guava has a green skin but is red inside.  Its red flesh is soft, juicy, creamy and full of seeds.

Guava is a very aromatic and sweet fruit.

Guava is very rich in vitamins C and B1. Guava contains phosphorus, calcium and ‘niacin’, which helps improve the circulation and reduces cholesterol.

Guava is available as:

• Natural fruit pulp (aseptic and frozen) 8º Brix min
• Powdered fruit
• Frozen fruit pieces
