The Spanish settlers use to call quito orange, ‘little orange’ because it seemed to them like an orange due to its color and appearance.

The fruit is round. Its skin is orange-green and very smooth.  Its pulp is yellow-green.

Quito orange is tart and very similar to passion fruit, which makes it a good combination in juices, cocktails, ice cream and sauces.

Quito orange is very rich in vitamins A and C. It also contains calcium and iron.

Quito orange is available as:

· Natural fruit pulp (aseptic and frozen) 6º-8º Brix
• Powdered fruit
