Blackberries have their origin in Europe and Asia where they can be found in their wild form.  Legend says that the Greeks called them ‘the titans’ blood’. According to mythology, blackberries were born of drops of blood of the titans in their fight against the gods.

Blackberries are small fruits with a very smooth skin and a dark purple color that makes them very decorative.  Blackberry pulp has a very distinctive flavor as well as color.

The flavor of the Colombian blackberry is very intense.  It is perfect in juices, frosties and desserts.

Blackberries are an important source of vitamin C.  Indeed the vitamin C content of this fruit surpasses some of the citric fruits.  Contains fiber, which makes it beneficial for the intestines.  As in the case of other fruits its content in natural pigments such as antocian and caroten acts as an antioxidant in our bodies.

Blackberries are available as:

· Natural fruit pulp (aseptic and frozen) 6,5º Brix min.
• Concentrate fruit pulp (aseptic and frozen) 14º Brix
